The Monster 1100^EVO goes further. The weight saving solutions used by the Desmodue Evoluzione engine construction, such as the alternator cover made in magnesium and the flywheel lightened of the Ducati 848^EVO, in combination with a lighter exhaust, reduce to 169kg the total dry weight (-2kg compared to the Monster 1100).
